PLAYER UPDATE

Promising young left-back Gary Smith has decided to give up the game for this season, following his nasty injury sustained in the second minute of the home East Anglian Cup game with Hoddesdon Town. Gary is a final year university student and has decided that he must concentrate on his studies. We wish him all the best and hope to see him again when he is fit and has graduated!

Midfielder Phil Leggatt resumed training this week after several weeks out with an ankle ligament strain, sufferred at Ware in the October Ryman League game. One of the longest serving players on the books, Phil came through o.k. and should soon be looking to win back his place in the starting line-up.
Spare a thought for Joel, who broke his leg in two places ten minutes from the end of last season. Although the leg has mended fine, it has been a long haul for the popular defender. He never fails to travel with the team but is not yet sufficiently recovered to begin playing again. We hope to see you in a blue shirt before the end of the season, Joel!
Matt has joined South Midlands League neighbours Hoddesdon Town, in an arrangement which will allow us to recall him if required. He began his Lowfield career by being MOM in Hoddesdon's second league win of the campaign - scoring one and making the other of their two goals!
Good news for Blues fans is that Hendon have kindly permitted Dave to stay with us for another month. As a contract player with the Premier Division side, we can only borrow him for up to three months this season. Dave has been such an influence in our recent run of wins that we shall try and keep him for as long as possible.
