Hertford went into this must win game still without 'keeper Mark Virgo, but Phil Goss returned at the expense of Tony Neilson, as the only change from Saturday.

As early as the second minute, The Blues signalled their intent, when a shot from Ryan Redford was tipped over the bar by the home 'keeper. After sustained pressure on the home goal, Kevin Cooper turned and shot on 10 minutes, only for the 'keeper to make a fairly comfortable save. Redford won a free kick 25 yards out, and Kevin Kilroy's effort rebounded back to him off the wall, and when he played the ball back in, four Hertford players were caught offside.
After 17 minutes, Lee Roberts ran onto a long diagonal ball and won a corner. when he floated this into the middle, Glenn Draper got in a header ,which the 'keeper collected comfortably. Hertford finally got the goal their pressure had deserved on 25 minutes, through who else but RYAN REDFORD. Phil Goss took a long throw near the corner flag, and Kevin Cooper flicked on to Redford, who headed into the bottom corner
Hertford maintained the pressure, and Ryan Redford crossed to Kevin Cooper who got up high to head for goal, but straight at the 'keeper. There was one moment of concern for Hertford, on 40 minutes, when Leverstock's Pedder shot through a crowded box, but Nick Barnaby made a good save low to his left.

On the hour mark, Hertford nearly doubled their lead. Lee Roberts crossed from the left, and Ryan Redford saw his shot turned away for a corner. From this Kevin Kilroy's powerful header was deflected behind for another corner. After 63 minutes, a Kilroy free kick from 20 yards was turned around the post for yet another corner.
Michael Bakare replaced Lee Roberts, who had taken a knock, on 65 minutes. Nick Barnaby was booked on 71 minutes for timewasting, as The Blues were in unaccustomed territory of late, defending a one goal lead.
Tony Neilson came on for Paul Taylor on 72 minutes, with Phil Goss moving into the middle, and with 10 minutes to go Ryan Wade replaced Kevin Cooper. Hertford added the second goal they needed to wrap the game up, on 83 minutes, when Panayiotis Panayiotou collected a long ball, turned on the edge of the box before playing the ball out wide to TONY NEILSON, who cut in and drove the ball under the 'keeper's right arm.
There was one final chance for the rampant Blues when Ryan Wade fed Neilson, who crossed to Phil Goss, only for the midfielder's firm header to fly just over the bar.
